ENGAGE.EU Secretary General at an Institutional Visit to Our University

Over the past week the Secretary General of the European University Alliance ENGAGE.EU Dr. Sabine Sainte-Rose paid an institutional visit to the UNWE. She held official meetings with the Managing Body of our university in the person of the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Vodenicharova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Hristozov. Issues of strategic importance for the development of ENGAGE.EU and UNWE were discussed.

During the working meetings with the university lecturers, employees, PhD students and undergraduates involved in the implementation of the ENGAGE.EU project /Grant Contract No. 101124357, Erasmus+ Programme/, Dr. Sabine Sainte-Rose observed the progress of the individual work packages and discussed the main challenges as well as the transformational effect of the Alliance on the development of UNWE in its educational activity, research and communication with the stakeholders.

Dr. Sabine Sainte-Rose shared with the team her contentment with the institutional visit and highlighted the following three key aspects: /1/ the outstanding commitment of our academic community to the values and activities of ENGAGE.EU; /2/ the visible successes of our university in the field of internationalization; /3/ the willingness of UNWE to collaborate in order to build and consolidate ENGAGE.EU as a unified structure; and /4/ the innovative teaching practices at our university reflecting the transformations in the European education.

The organizer of the visit was Assoc. Prof. D.Sc. Michael Musov - Institutional Coordinator of ENGAGE.EU for UNWE.
