Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov pointed out that the elaboration of a National Map of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Bulgaria is a project with great potential, which could be developed in many aspects. He added that the UNWE works with the Ministry of Tourism on a project for a digital map of Bulgaria and due to it our country will be presented as a tourist destination in a digital environment. The University also develops a project for digital routes of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage. The relevant data from those projects could also be analyzed in the elaboration and updating of the National Map of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Bulgaria.
"It is a project of great importance for the future because having in mind the centralization of the state and the desire of municipalities to decentralize, the state must acquire this data and draw its conclusions", said Ventsislav Spiridonov.

I would like to greet you for tackling with this challenging task and as result six institutions succeeded to lend a hand in the implementation of this initiative, which is a very strong start. It is undoubtedly a project of great importance, not only because it is interesting. It even binds the intellectual property education, business and the state as a whole in the future. I assume you are aware that a new regionalization of the country is to be carried out. This has implications for the intellectual property and territorial distribution of the country, it also has implications for redistricting", said Assoc. Prof. Atanas Atanasov and outlined: "From the NSI and from me, in my personal capacity, you could count on full support."
"As Chairperson of the Patent Office, I would say that it is a great project that happens for the first time in Bulgaria - to bring out all detailed information on intellectual property. I am glad that the industrial property, copyright and related rights are in one place because adequate measures could be taken basing on the visible data. This data could be expanded and will be expanded. You could always expect ideas from the Patent Office in this direction", commented Olya Dimitrova.
"On behalf of the Minister of Culture, I greet the project team for the idea and for the implementation", addressed to the audience Mehty Melikov and added that the potential of the project is yet to be revealed and the importance of the National Map of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Bulgaria will grow. It will be able to be institutionalized and be useful in policy making because to make policies in certain areas, data is necessary.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolay Krushkov, Acting Director of Prof. Dr. Borislav Borisov Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer and Head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Department, expressed thankfulness to the project partners and presented the methodology of the research for the elaboration of the National Map of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Bulgaria.
