On 7 May was set the beginning of trainings for students in Bachelor`s and Master`s Degree Programmes at the National and Regional Security Department. Trainings were held in the frameworks of the project entitled Contraband & Counterfeit Risk Identification (Business Process Analysis and Spatial Aspect). The project is funded by the PMI IMPACT - global grant initiative by Philip Morris International to support the fight against illegal trade including the contraband and related crimes.
The UNWE project is one of the 32 ones chosen among more than 200 project drafts from all over the world in the first round for financing the initiative.

The students from the speciality Economics of Defence and Security and speciality Economics of Transport and Energy were introduced to the negative consequences of illicit tobacco products trade in the country and the region, related crimes, indicators bringing influence to the tobacco and tobacco products smuggling.
The objective of trainings is to contribute to better understanding of social economic phenomena having impact on the contraband and counterfeit tobacco products as well as the dependencies between the separate factors bringing influence to the intensity of those phenomena.

The trainings are led by lecturers from the National and Regional Security Department who are also part of the team of the research project financed by the PMI IMPACT.
