Twenty seven pupils obtained Certificates of excellent results in the National Competition in Applied Informatics and Statistics held on 25 February at the Test Center of UNWE. According to the Competition regulations their Certificates are recognized as excellent grade for successful entrance examination at out university in the subfield of Applied Informatics, Communications and Econometrics for the academic year 2017 / 2018.

At the ceremony on awarding the Certificates in the Ceremonial Hall attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milanka Slavova, Vice Rector for Education in the EQD of Bachelor and Lifelong Learning and Chairwoman of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschiyan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Veselka Pavlova, Head of the Statistics and Econometrics Department, Kalina Gergova, Deputy Director of the National Trade and Banking High School.
I am glad to greet you on this very nice day for you when we report the results of successful Olympiad, said to the winners in the Competition Prof. Veselka Pavlova. It is the third Olympiad which we have organized and in it has taken part the largest number of schools from the country which means that the interest has increased.

You will be our students at one of the most modern subfields – Applied Informatics and Communications, pointed out Prof. Pavlova. I wish you success in your mature exam and I hope to see the largest part of you at the opening of the new academic year at the UNWE. The Head of Department outlined that our university had enjoyed the greatest authority among all economic higher schools in Southeastern Europe and the largest number of students among Bulgarian universities.
The Certificates to the first three winners who had achieved result of more than 200 points in the National Competition were awarded by Assoc. Prof. Milanka Slavova. The Vice Rector reminded the future students to submit their applications as prospective students on 14 June and outlined that they would become first year students in one of the most interesting specialities.
