Round Table Conference on The Erasmus+ Programme for Lecturers and Administrative Personnel Mobility in Order of Teaching and Training at The UNWE – 2015 / 2016

Round Table Conference on the Erasmus+ Programme for Lecturers and Administrative Personnel Mobility in Order of Teaching and Training at the UNWE – 2015 / 2016 was organized by the University Center for Students and Lecturers Mobility. At the event in the Large Conference Hall attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milanka Slavova, Vice-Rector of UNWE for Education in the EQD of Bachelor and Lifelong Learning, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Tosheva, Director of the Center, Assist. Dr. Dimitar Damyanov, Deputy Director of the Center, lecturers and representatives of the university administration.

Assoc. Prof. Milanka Slavova greeted the participants for the successful annual stage of Erasmus+ and outlined that the Programme had been traditional and effective as for students as for lecturers as well as for the administrative personnel. The Vice-Rector specified the importance of the Programme for the International Economic Relations and Business Department, education of foreign students who had discovered Bulgaria and our university over the year, students and lecturers mobility at the European universities. Erasmus+ provides very good opportunities and despite the problems the Programme is in progress, pointed out Assoc. Prof. Slavova.

Some eloquent facts and data were examined by Assoc. Prof. Ekaterina Tosheva in her presentation. She pointed out that during 2015 / 2016 in the university mobility in order of teaching had included 46 people, in order of training the personnel – 41 people and the territory of lecturing activity had been expanded in 18 countries. The Director of the Center for Students and Lecturers Mobility outlined the progress of mobility over the last years due to the large number of positions committed to our university for mobility of lecturers and education of administrative personnel, changes in conditions of application, etc. Assoc. Prof. Tosheva pointed out that lecturers from the eight Faculties of UNWE had taken part in the annual mobility and 60% of lecturers and 40% of administrative personnel had participated in the trainings. The Programme is popular among the most university units, said Tosheva. She also featured the negative numeric tendency in Erasmus+ for the next period due to the reduced funding at national level.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Markova also spoke about the mobility on Erasmus+ Programme at the University Federico II in Naples, Italy. She presented her lecturing activity, academic meetings and effectiveness of lecturers` exchange. Chief Assist. Ralitsa Pandurska shared in her presentation her experience in mobility at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum in Graz, Austria.

Chief Assist. Dr. Mihaela Misheva commented on her visit to the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and Sen. Lect. Albena Stefanova told about her stay in Vaduz, Lisbon and Vilnius. Prof. Dr. Hristian Tanushev and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamen Ralchev also spoke about their lecturing activity in mobility.

At the end of the Round Table Conference there was a discussion on the effectiveness and problems of Erasmus+ Programme at the UNWE.
