On 27 November 2024 the Ministry of Innovation and Growth announced the Call for Proposals BG16RFPR002-1.005 Small Innovative Grants for Small and Medium Enterprises /SMEs/ under the Programme for Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation 2021-2027. The total budget of the procedure is BGN 25 000 000 as BGN 20 575 000 of them are from the European Regional Development Fund and BGN 4 425 000 are national co-financing.
The main objective of the procedure is to develop better cooperation between the academic and business sectors by supporting the enterprises to use scientific expertise for improving their technological, production and business processes through science-intensive services that can help enterprises to innovate, solve technological problems, develop new business models or prototypes. The fixed funding amount for one service is BGN 14 710 and for two services is BGN 29 420.
41 UNWE lecturers with different expertise registered a total of 115 services in the specially developed Platform for Cooperation between the Higher Education Institutions, Research Organizations and Business. The services that our university will participate with are in the field of innovation, which according to Art. 94 of the EU Regulation 651/2014 includes all services provided by the research and knowledge dissemination organizations, research infrastructures, testing and experimentation infrastructures in order to develop more efficient or high-tech products, processes or services, including the application of innovative technologies and solutions.
