Dr. Daniel Parushev, Honorary Chairman of NRSC, Chairman in the term 2020 – 2024 and President of the Alumni Community of the organization, expressed thankfulness to the President Rumen Radev for always supporting the initiatives of the NRSC and emphasized: "I am happy that I am here before you today, that I have the opportunity to speak and that the Youth Economic Forum is what it should be - it is held at the University of National and World Economy, in this academic community, among the best professors of economics and finance, the best lawyers and political scientists. The UNWE has always been a center of ideas, innovation and ambitions".

"It is an honour for me to welcome you to the twenty-first edition of the Youth Economic Forum. An event that over the years has established itself as a leading platform for discussion, inspiration and the creation of new ideas for the future. It is a great pleasure for me to open this event as the Chairman of the eldest and most active Student Council in the country - the UNWE Student Council. For 33 years the organization has not only represented the students, but has created opportunities and left a lasting mark in the academic life of the university and the country", said the Chairman of the UNWE Student Council Ilian Chabukliysky at the opening of the event.

"Today's event is an expression of the President's respect for the student community and young people in the Republic of Bulgaria, but it is also an illustration of young people's interest in socially significant issues aimed at the development of our country. I am glad that today, on the eve of the Students' Day and in the spirit of the approaching Christmas and New Year holidays, Mr. Rumen Radev accepted our invitation together with the Student Council at the UNWE and I am happy that we will have the opportunity to hear his review of the past year", said the Chairman of the NRSC Angel Stoykov.

"I am especially happy to stand again in front of a full auditorium of one of the most prestigious universities in Bulgaria and with so many students from all over the country. That is why I accepted the invitation with pleasure, because I do not miss the opportunity to see eye to eye with young Bulgarians who have chosen to receive their education here in our country. Students have always been the conscience of the nation, they have always been the litmus of the social processes development and the bearer of free spirit, of uncompromising and of national dignity. That is why I can share that one of the most valuable initiatives of the presidential institution is our internship programme, so far more than 230 interns from higher education institutions from all over the country have completed internships with us and have their first contact with the state administration. And for me personally, communicating with them is special and, above all, I always await with attention the answer to the question "What kind of Bulgaria do you want to live in?", said the President Rumen Radev and outlined: "I know that you expect curricula providing knowledge that is more prospective, more applicable, you expect quality jobs that allow for a better work-life balance, you expect more attention and commitment to family policies for young people, you expect more equity in society and an environment that is more sustainable and more youth-friendly, you expect accelerated economic growth".

The event continued with a fruitful discussion.

The students had the opportunity to ask questions to the President Rumen Radev.

On behalf of the UNWE Student Council Ilian Chabukliysky, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova, awarded a plaque to Rumen Radev.

Chief Assist. Dr. Daniel Parushev and Angel Stoykov gave as gift to the President an icon of St. George the Victorious
