UNWE has a new utility model registered at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. The inventor is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Vodenicharova, Vice Rector for Research of UNWE and lecturer at the Logistics and Supply Chain Department. The model will be used in the field of vocational training, especially in the project management for warehouse construction.
The utility model is a logistics project management training system that provides a simulation environment for coordinating the planning, execution, monitoring and information delivery of warehouse construction to add new knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the project management in logistics.

The problem is solved by creating a training system for project management in logistics that includes a web server bidirectionally connected to a control module that is bidirectionally connected to users' computing devices via a registration and verification module. The users' computing devices are connected to an instructor's computing device that is bidirectionally connected to the control module. The web server contains a task database module and a budget module for project activities.
The advantage of the established learning system is that it provides the mastery of a new approach to consolidate, extend and summarize knowledge; to increase the retention of information related to the subject area and to increase the skills of working with new technologies. It also has the advantage of increasing learners' interest in the material, their confidence, creativity and ability to work in teams.
The expected outcomes of using the system are that through a team experience the participants measure their performance and receive feedback. This simulation of logistics project management forces learners out of their comfort zones and allow them to make quick decisions as it happens in a real work situation. In their quest for the best solutions the learners could experiment with multiple task scenarios.
The Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at the UNWE could assist in the initial assessment as well as in the preparation and filing of an application for registration with the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
