The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov met with Denitsa Simeonova, Member of Parliament from the Parliamentary Group "We Continue the Change" and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs, and Nadia Donkinska, Governor of Vratsa Region.
The meeting was initiated by the member of Parliamnet Denitsa Simeonova who through Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Boneva, Dean of the UNWE International Economics and Politics Faculty and Chairman of the Public Council of the Parliamentary Committee on the European Union Affairs, the Schengen Area and the Euro Area, was willing to discuss the opportunities for cooperation between the University of National and World Economy and the municipalities in Northwestern Bulgaria.

Denitsa Simeonova presented the demand of professionals with economic education in the region and expressed the desire of the local community to strengthen the cooperation with the UNWE. Nadia Donkina outlined that by the opening of the new highway next week the cooperation will be significantly facilitated and offered assistance in arranging meetings in relation to the prospective students campaign.

Prof. Dimitrov presented to the guests the concept of the prospective students campaign which is held in close cooperation with the local communities and businesses and aims to identify, on one hand, the specific demand of qualified personnel and, on the other hand, to assist municipalities in drawing up programmes for the return of young professionals to their hometowns.
