Media and Public Communications Department of UNWE has already been officially approved as a UNESCO Chair after a long application period. Its title is UNESCO Chair on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development.

The UNWE Department will continue to expand its work related to the project topic and to the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the UNESCO's strategic documents.
