"The COVID-19 pandemic affects all sectors of the economy. It led to a decrease in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and higher unemployment. During this period there was an extremely strong impact on labour costs and social welfare. They bring positive results for solving health problems but not for faster recovery of the economy", commented Assoc. Prof. Assenova as the author of the report Effectiveness of Public Spending before and during COVID-19.
